New Delhi: In a recent development, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has penned a letter to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah concerning the scandal involving Prajwal Revanna, a prominent JD(S) leader. The scandal revolves around obscene videos allegedly involving Revanna, who holds the position of incumbent member of Parliament from Karnataka's Hassan constituency.

Gandhi's letter condemns Revanna's actions as instances of "horrific sexual violence," accusing him of sexually assaulting and filming numerous women over several years. He calls upon the Chief Minister to extend all possible support to the victims of these purported crimes.

“Many who looked upto him as a brother and son were brutualized in the most violent manner and robbed of their dignity. Rape of our mothers and sisters warrants strictest punishment,” the Wayanad MP wrote.

Furthermore, Gandhi implicates Revanna of enjoying immunity, purportedly backed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mallikarjun Kharge will hold rallies in Davangere, Gulbaraga constituencies respectively. Davangere and Gulbaraga go for polls on May 7 and the Congress party hopes to do well in Karnataka riding on its range of welfare schemes and tapping into the traditional base in the state.
