Ramanagar: Advocate Chaan Pasha, who is a native of Ijoor village in the district, was arrested by the local police under charge of posting on social media an objectionable comment against an Uttar Pradesh judge.
Pasha has been accused of commenting in derogatory terms about the judge of the Varanasi District Court in Uttar Pradesh, who had recently permitted a Hindu priest to perform prayers before the idols in the cellar of the Gyanvapi mosque. The members of the Sangh Parivar had complained to the Superintendent of Police against the advocate's post on social media.
The Ijoor Police officers had booked a case against the advocate based on the complaint, and arrested Pasha late Monday night.
