Bengaluru, September 19: Rationalist Prof K.S Bhagavan said that “RSS is not Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Instead, it is the Rashtriya Sullugarara Sangha (National Liars Association). So, no one should believe their words”.
Speaking at a releasing programme of ‘Jumla Republic’ documentary as part of the national campaign on ‘Let us eradicate intolerance, join against fascism’, organized by the Campus Front of India here on Wednesday, he said that “The Constitution has entitled Equality, Liberty, Fraternity and Coexistence. But the RSS does not believe in it. It is acting against the Constitution. But it gives false statements to appease minorities only during election times. So, the minorities in the country should understand their position. The RSS is insulting the word ‘Sevak’ by calling themselves as ‘Swayamsevaks’”, he alleged.
In recent days, the minorities were becoming more aware. In the same way, the exploited and suppressed class in the Hindu society was also being awakened. But it would not enough to counter the attack. Awareness should be created more among people from the lower communities. It was unfortunate that no community in the society has no cultural leadership. Though a few communities have the leaders, they were claiming themselves as the great against others, he said.
The exploited in the Hindu religion did not understand the country till now. They should understand the country first. India was not restricted to any particular religion. It has several religions and castes and communities. It was not so easy to understand this. It could be understood only through continuous study and work. As the people do not have complete knowledge, the ruling class has been misleading the people, he said.
The BJP which got just 31 per cent votes in the 2014 Lok Sabha election was ruling the country and those who got 69 per cent of votes were in the opposition position. So, in the 2019 election, all opposition parties should come together, share the seats and contest against the BJP as one party, he advised.
Freedom fighter H.S Doreswamy said that “After Modi became the prime minister, the Hindutva force was getting stronger. Those who believe in Hindutva were ruling the roost. But we are also Hindus and following the Hindu religion advocated by Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and others. BJP and Sangh Parivar have been trying to build the nation with their own Agenda. They were trying to establish Manusmriti by rejecting the Constitution. At this moment, everyone should come together to build a New India. For this purpose, all people and communities should be taken together irrespective of religions and classes”, he said.
RSS had announced that it would not hoist the national flag till the Muslims and Christians were there in the country and they would hoist their Bhagavadhwaja as national flag. But they were now preaching about the patriotism and telling that they would not keep Muslims away from the society. It was an election gimmick and it should not be supported, he said.
CFI national president P.V Suhaib, General secretary T. Abdul Nasir, State President Mohammad Tafsir, General secretary Ravoof, Central committee members P. Abdul Nasir and Wasim were present.
“RSS, its allies and the ruling government have been trying to destroy the education system. Recently, when they understood that they would not win in the JNU election, the ABVP, the students wing of the Sangh Parivar, has acted against the democratic system. But ultimately, democracy has won. The ruling party has been targeting the activists, writers, litterateurs and others and branding them as naxals. If we protest and oppose their moves, they were calling us traitors”.
- P.V Shuhaib, CFI National President

Ranchi (PTI): A 25-year-old man, who works as a butcher, allegedly strangled to death his live-in partner and chopped her body into 40 to 50 pieces in a forested area in Jharkhand’s Khunti district, police said on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Naresh Bhengra, was arrested.
The matter came to light after around a fortnight after the killing when a stray dog was found with human body parts near Jordag village in Jariagarh police station on November 24.
Bhengra was in a live-in relationship with the deceased, a 24-year-old woman also from Khunti district, in Tamil Nadu for the past couple of years. Sometime back, he returned to Jharkhand, got married to another woman without telling his partner anything and went back to the southern state without his wife to join her.
"The brutal incident occurred on November 8 when they reached Khunti as the accused who had married another woman did not wish to take her home. Instead, he took her to a forest near his house at Jordag village in Jariagarh police station and chopped the body into pieces. The man has been arrested," Khunti Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar told PTI.
Inspector Ashok Singh who investigated the case said the man worked in a butcher shop in Tamil Nadu and was expert in slicing chicken.
“He admitted chopping the body parts of the woman into 40 to 50 pieces before leaving those in the forest for wild animals to feast on. The police recovered several parts on November 24 after a dog in the area was seen with a hand," Singh told PTI.
Singh said that the woman, who was unaware of his marriage, pressured him to return to Khunti. After reaching Ranchi, they boarded a train on November 24 and headed to the man's village.
"Under a plan, the man took her to Khunti in an autorickshaw near his home and asked her to wait. He returned with sharp weapons and strangulated her with her dupatta after raping her. He then cut the body into 40 to 50 pieces and left for his home to live with his wife," Singh said.
The woman, however, had informed her mother that she had boarded a train and would be living with her partner, the police officer said.
Following the recovery of body parts, a bag was also found in the forest with the murdered woman's belongings including her Aadhaar card. The mother of the woman was called at the spot and she identified her daughter's belongings.
"The mother suspected the man behind the crime who after being nabbed by the police admitted to chopping the woman into pieces," the official added.
The incident has sent shockwaves among people in the region, with the Shraddha Walker murder case of 2022 still fresh in their memory.
Walker was killed by her live-in partner who chopped her body into pieces before dumping them in the jungle in South Delhi’s Mehrauli.
