Bengaluru: 13 Muslims have been killed In the name of communal violence so far. In all these killings, accused are related to various organizations affiliated to Sangh Parivar, alleged home minister Ramalinga Reddy.

Replying to a query by BJP MLAs regarding law and order status in the state under article 69, he said, workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Sri Ram Sene, Hindu Jagaran Vedike and some other organizations have been accused of all such murders. "Why don't BJP members speak about these things?" He asked.

In a letter written to the Central Home Minister, BJP MLA Shobha Karandlaje has said 23 Hindus have been killed in the state. Whereas only 11 Hindus were killed in communal violence, he said.

"In her list, Shobha Karandlaje has mentioned Ashok Poojari as dead while he is alive. Makali Ravi died in an accident. Srinivas Prasad was murdered in a quarrel. Whereas murders of Ashwath, Mahadevi Kale, and Bandi Ramesh were politically motivated, Yogesh Gowda was murdered in a property dispute. No case among these is related to communalism. Moreover, in all these cases, Hindus have killed Hindus," Ramalinga Reddy explained.

"In Santosh's case, his mother only said that his killing took place regarding cannabis. BJP members were repeatedly claiming that Paresh Mesta was their party worker, whereas, Mesta's father has evidently said that his son was not associated with any political party" he clarified.

"A girl Dhanyashree committed suicide following threats by a BJP worker. Why did not Shobha Karandlaje raise voice against her death? Was it because the accused belonged to BJP?" asked Ramalinga Reddy.
