Bengaluru: JC Nagar police investigating the murder of Santosh –an auto driver,  who died on Wednesday night have arrested four persons including the son of Congress block leader.

The arrested have been identified as Wasim, Philip, Umar and Irfan, all residents of Chinnappa Garden.

The main accused, Wasim, is the son of the block leader of Congress party, Khader, and runs a bakery near his house

DETAILS OF INCIDENT

Santosh, 28, a resident of Chinnappa Garden, was stabbed with a screwdriver by Wasim and his aides near a bakery in Chinnappa Garden at around 7.45 pm and died undergoing treatment at around 9 pm.

Situation near Santosh's house gripped tense due to which the streets of Chinnappa Garden wore a deserted look as a few shopkeepers pulled down shutters. When Santhosh's body was brought near his house after the post-mortem, BJP leaders and workers persisted in calling home minister Ramalinga Reddy and police commissioner to spot.

BJP leaders R Ashok, Katta Subramanya Naidu, Y Narayanaswamy and others, had led the protests.

New Delhi (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday had a meeting with Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and its parent company Alphabet Inc, and discussed the work India is doing in artificial intelligence and how the technology giant can work with Indian students and professionals in this field.

Pichai is here to attend the ongoing India AI Impact Summit, which is being held at Bharat Mandapam here alongside an expo.

"It was a delight to meet Mr. Sundar Pichai on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in Delhi. Talked about the work India is doing in AI and how Google can work with our talented students and professionals in this field," Modi wrote on X.

The prime minister on Monday visited the India AI Impact Expo here, featuring more than 600 high-potential startups and 13 country pavilions showcasing international collaboration in the AI ecosystem. Over 20 heads of state, 60 ministers and 500 global AI leaders are attending the summit.
