Bengaluru: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths investigating the multi-crore IMA scam reportedly questioned IPS officer Hemant Nimbalkar on Saturday here in the city.
Nimbalkar, who is currently serving as the Additional Police Commissioner (Administration) had also served as the IGP of Western Range and was posted in Mangaluru. Nimbalkar was grilled by the investigating team for nearly three hours on Saturday and was let go on the condition that he will have to present himself before the team in future for further investigation.
Nimbalkar was questioned in connection with the allegation that he had given clean chit to the IMA when RBI Chief Manager K S Jyotsna, had complained had complained about the organisation. Nimbalkar (then IGP of Department of Economic Offences) CID team had given clean chit to IMA in 2017. It is widely alleged that Nimbalkar had accepted money from IMA for issuing the clean chit.

New Delhi (PTI): More than 105 flights were cancelled and over 450 services delayed due to low-visibility conditions amid fog at the Delhi airport on Sunday.
An official said at least 55 arrivals and 52 departures were cancelled at the airport.
According to latest information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24.com, more than 450 flights were delayed and the average delay time was around 36 minutes for departures at the airport.
In a post on X in the evening, Delhi airport operator DIAL said operations are running smoothly.
DIAL operates the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), the country's largest airport that generally handles around 1,300 flights daily.
Flight operations have been disrupted for the past many days in Delhi and other airports due to dense fog.
