Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Minister and underfire BJP leader Ramesh Jarkiholi on Saturday addressed a press conference at his house in the city. During the press conference, he added that he will file a case against Congress Karnataka Chief DK Shivakumar.

The former minister who resigned amidst a sex CD scandal added that he will file a case of atrocity against the state’s Congress chief after his name has now surfaced in the leaked audio clip of the conversation that purportedly took place on the night the sex CD was leaked to television channels.

In the audio clip, the woman is heard telling a man on the other end (said to be her brother) that “DK [Mr. Shivakumar] himself” is meeting her and she had “now come near the house of D. K. Shivakumar” and was going to speak to him.

“Everybody knows who the mastermind is, the parents of the woman in the CD have also confirmed who the mastermind is. I and my family have not cheated any young woman. I will be filing a case of atrocity against DK Shivakumar” Jarkiholi said during the press conference.

Belthangady (PTI): In connection with the Dharmasthala mass burial case, officers of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) brought the key witness and complainant to the Netravati riverbank in Dharmasthala under tight police security for a spot inspection on Sunday afternoon.

The inspection began around 1 PM at the bathing ghat area near the river, where the complainant identified the alleged burial site. A heavy security blanket was deployed across the area, and officers from multiple departments were stationed at the location.

Senior officers including Jitendra Kumar Dayama and C.A. Simon led the inspection, coordinating the on-site proceedings.

As news of the inspection spread, several local residents gathered near the bathing ghat, curious to witness the development. However, the SIT officers escorted the witness deep into the forest area nearby, where he is said to have pointed out the exact spots where multiple bodies were allegedly buried.

Sources indicate that the inspection could go on for several more hours.
