Bengaluru: Renowned Indian singer Lucky Ali has made shocking allegations against the Bengaluru land mafia, claiming that they are attempting to kill him over a longstanding land dispute.
Taking to his official social media account, Ali named several individuals, including IAS Officer Rohini Sindhuri, and her IAS husband Sudhir Reddy whom he accused of orchestrating an attempt on his life to conceal alleged land grabbing crimes.
In his detailed post, Ali implicated individuals such as Dayananda Pai, Satish Pai, Ashwin Pai, and Pavi Pai, as well as Century Builders Yeshwantpur Shenoy, Raghunath, and others. According to Ali, these figures had allegedly hired individuals like Asif Iqbal, Razwan, and local thugs, with assistance from Sudhir Reddy, Rohini Sindhuri, Madhu Reddy, and Bujjama, to carry out the attack.
He has also alleged that the Pais presented a plot to Sudhir Reddy, Bijjamma, Rohini Sindhuri and Madhu Reddy in ‘Century Artizan’ on land stole from the Trusts of Ali Estate.
The dispute in question traces back to the 1990s when Mehmood, Lucky Ali's father, passed on land acquired by him to his six children through trusts created in their names. Allegedly, in 1991, the entire parcel of land held by Mehmood's family was sold to two realtors, leading to legal disputes that persisted over the years.
Court records, as reported by the media, indicate that Mehmood Ali purchased 400 acres of land in 1969, of which approximately 220 acres were lost due to various complications. The remaining 160 acres were distributed among four trusts owned by Mehmood's children, with Lucky Ali overseeing 33 acres under one of the trusts.
Last year, during one of his concerts, Lucky Ali publicly spoke about the ongoing case, shedding light on the actions of the Bengaluru-based land mafia. He revealed that his family and children were currently residing alone on their farm in Kenchenahalli Yelahanka, Bengaluru, while he was in Dubai.
An advocate involved in the case stated that people took advantage of Mehmood Ali's poor health, fabricating transactions and causing complications. The family has been fighting against these transactions, with Lucky Ali now publicly accusing specific individuals of a sinister plot against him.

Bengaluru: Leader of Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashoka has accused the Congress government of using the hijab issue to placate what he described as discontent among minority voters after the Davanagere by-election.
In a post on X on Wednesday, Ashoka alleged that the state government, instead of addressing issues such as price rise, corruption, farmers’ distress and law and order, was attempting to retain its minority vote base by reviving the hijab issue.
Referring to the 2022 dress code introduced by the BJP government, which prohibited hijab in schools and colleges, Ashoka said the Karnataka High Court had upheld the policy and emphasised the importance of discipline in educational institutions.
He questioned the Congress government’s move to revisit the issue and asked whether setting aside the court-backed policy to benefit one community could be described as secularism.
Ashoka further alleged that while the government was willing to permit hijab, it continued to prohibit saffron shawls.
He accused the government of dividing students on religious lines rather than treating schools and colleges as spaces of equality.
Drawing a comparison with Mamata Banerjee’s government in West Bengal, Ashoka claimed that excessive appeasement politics had harmed the state and warned that the Congress in Karnataka could face a similar political response.
He said voters in Karnataka would teach the Congress a lesson for what he termed “vote-bank politics” and for compromising constitutional and judicial principles.
