Six children dies of drowning while immersing Ganesh idol in Kolar
Kolar: In a tragic incident report from Kolar six children died after they fell into the water while immersing Ganesh idol in a lake here on Tuesday evening,
The deceased children have been identified as Tejh, Vaishnavi, Veena, Rashita, Dhanash and Rohit all of whom were belonged to the age group of 10-14 years.
According to the reports the children were playing near a lake in the village and made a mud idol of Ganesh by themselves. At around 4.30 pm the children went to the lake to immerse the idol made by them when they fell into the water and drowned.
The bodied of the children were recovered. Anderson Pethe Police reached the spot immediately and registered a case in this regard.

PM unveils development projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Sikkim
Gangtok (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched development projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Sikkim while attending the closing ceremony of the state's 50 years of statehood celebrations.
The projects span a wide range of sectors such as infrastructure, connectivity, healthcare, education, power, urban development, environment, tourism and agriculture, the officials said.
These projects are aimed at accelerating holistic and inclusive development in Sikkim.
The PM's visit marks an important milestone in the golden jubilee year of Sikkim's statehood and reflects the government's "continued commitment to the rapid and sustainable development of the Himalayan state", the officials said.
