Bengaluru, May 7: For the first time in the history of the Karnataka Secondary Education Board, the students are allowed to apply online for revaluation and photo copies of answer scripts of SSLC examinations conducted in March-April.

The Board has also announced the supplementary examination to be held from June 21 to 28. The process of apply for photo copies of the SSLC answer scripts would start from May 9 and the students could apply online over Board website: http://sslc.kar.nic.in and application could be submitted for revaluation from May 11.

Those who want retotalling of marks should have got the photo copies of the answer scripts. SSLC results would be announced in the schools on May 8, according to a press statement.

Supplementary exam

Those who want to take supplementary exam should apply online from May 8 and May 19 is the last date for applying for the exam. The students who have failed should not wait till they get the result of the revaluation.

Fee structure

Students have to pay Rs 305 for getting the photo copy of a subject and Rs 705 for revaluation of a subject, the board said.

ISLAMABAD: At least two more cases of poliovirus were reported in Pakistan, taking the number of infections to 52 so far this year, a report said on Friday.

“The Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication at the National Institute of Health has confirmed the detection of two more wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) cases in Pakistan," an official statement said.

The fresh infections — a boy and a girl — were reported from the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

“Genetic sequencing of the samples collected from the children is underway," the statement read. Dera Ismail Khan, one of the seven polio-endemic districts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has reported five polio cases so far this year.

Of the 52 cases in the country this year, 24 are from Balochistan, 13 from Sindh, 13 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and one each from Punjab and Islamabad.

There is no cure for polio. Only multiple doses of the oral polio vaccine and completion of the routine vaccination schedule for all children under the age of five can keep them protected.
