In today’s fast-evolving digital economy, smartphones have become the backbone of financial transactions, communication, and access to government services across India. From UPI payments and Aadhaar-linked platforms to online banking and social networking, mobile devices now store some of the most sensitive personal and financial information. However, as digital adoption accelerates, cybercriminals are increasingly targeting smartphones, leading to a sharp rise in mobile-based fraud, phishing attacks, and APK malware infections. In this latest Technology News update, TechnoLogyNews reports on the launch of TraceX Guard, an AI-powered all-in-one mobile security solution developed to address India’s rapidly growing mobile cybercrime crisis.

India is currently witnessing a mobile-first cybercrime wave, with a significant percentage of fraud cases originating from smartphones rather than traditional desktop systems. Fraudsters are distributing malicious APK files through messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram, disguising them as fake traffic challan apps, wedding invitations, loan approvals, adult video call applications, or cloned government service apps. Once installed, these trojanised applications silently request excessive permissions and deploy Remote Access Trojans (RATs), giving attackers control over SMS messages, OTPs, banking applications, photos, and even microphones or cameras. Financial losses can occur within minutes, making early detection and prevention essential.

TraceX Guard has been introduced as a modern Android security platform built specifically for India’s evolving threat landscape. Unlike conventional antivirus applications that depend largely on static signature detection, the platform integrates artificial intelligence, real-time behavioral monitoring, and cloud-based threat intelligence to detect suspicious activity before damage occurs. It performs full device audits, analyzes application permissions, verifies installer sources, and provides users with clear explanations about why an app may be harmful. This user-focused design aims to bridge the awareness gap that often makes mobile users vulnerable to scams.

The platform includes real-time APK installation monitoring, phishing URL and QR code scanning, WiFi network risk detection, SIM and OTP interception alerts, ransomware behavior detection, and ID breach lookup tools. By categorizing applications into safety levels and explaining potential risks in simple language, TraceX Guard helps users make informed security decisions rather than relying solely on technical warnings. Its multilingual support further enhances accessibility for users in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, where language barriers often increase fraud risks.

As India moves toward a fully digital infrastructure, cybersecurity is becoming a national priority. Experts emphasize that device-level protection is critical to reducing financial fraud and easing pressure on cybercrime helplines and law enforcement agencies. With mobile malware campaigns growing more sophisticated and spreading rapidly through social networks, solutions tailored specifically to India’s threat environment are increasingly necessary.

Through the launch of TraceX Guard, the company positions itself as part of India’s broader effort to strengthen digital trust and protect citizens from emerging cyber threats. As highlighted in this Technology News report by TechnoLogyNews, the integration of artificial intelligence with localized threat intelligence may represent a significant step forward in securing India’s mobile ecosystem against phishing attacks, APK malware, ransomware, and financial scams.

Chennai (PTI): Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan called for more bilateral series against stronger cricketing nations after his team signed off from the T20 World Cup on a high, defeating Canada in their final group match here on Thursday.

Afghanistan played some exhilarating cricket, going down to South Africa in a gripping second Super Over after the scores were tied, a humdinger that provided one of the early thrills of the World Cup.

However, the spin-bowling stalwart said Afghanistan could make significant strides if they get regular opportunities to compete against stronger cricketing nations.

"Couple of areas to improve, with the batting, the middle order got a bit stuck against the big teams, and then with the bowling the death overs. That comes when you play the bigger teams in bilateral series," said Rashid after his team defeat Canada by 82 runs, with him returning excellent figures of 2 for 19.

The stalwart said the side had arrived well prepared for the tournament and produced some breathtaking cricket, but admitted the narrow defeat to South Africa proved costly and remained a painful setback.

"We were well-prepared (for the tournament), we played some unbelievable cricket. The game against South Africa, that really hurt everyone. We had to win one of those (first two) games and see how the tournament unfolded. We'll take some positive things from this World Cup and look forward," he said.

With head coach Jonathan Trott set to part ways with the team, Rashid described the departure as an "emotional" moment for the side.

"I think we had some wonderful times with him. Where we are now, he played a main role. It's emotional to see him leave us, but that's how life is. We wish him all the best and somewhere down the line we see him again."

Ibrahim Zadran, who was named Player of the Match for his unbeaten 95 off 56 balls, said it was satisfying to finally register a substantial score after two below-par outings.

"I enjoyed it, didn't play better cricket in first two innings, which I expect. Wanted to back my skills, really enjoyed it. Pressure was there, it's there all the time. I want to put myself in pressure situations and enjoy it," said Zadran.

"Wanted to play positive cricket, rotate strike and punish bad ball, create partnerships and this is what I have done."
