Kalaburgi, May 4: “As Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Mallikarjun Kharge has amassed wealth disproportionate to his known source of income, let Modi trace my illegal wealth and put me in jail”, said Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge.
Speaking at an election rally at Kalaburgi in the district on Friday, Kharge said that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amith Shah are liers. They were trying to make the false as truth. Nobody could defeat the Congress in the state. Instead of seeking votes on development grounds, Modi is asking votes on false accusations. He is under the control of RSS and VHP and came to power on false promises, he alleged.

Minor girl kidnapped and raped; main accused and two cafe owners held
Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
