Bengaluru: Just when it seemed like Indian Air Force Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose was the victim in a heated road rage incident, a shocking twist has flipped the narrative: a newly surfaced video shows him brutally thrashing a delivery boy, while his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita Das, records the assault on her phone.
The video, now viral on social media, shows Bose launching a series of punches at the delivery boy, even as bystanders try to break up the fight. At one point, the delivery agent is seen trying to make a phone call when Bose attacks him again, adding to the outrage.
Initially, Bose had claimed in a video statement that the delivery boy verbally abused him in Kannada, made derogatory remarks about the DRDO, and struck him with a key, causing injuries to his face and neck. But the new footage casts doubt on his version of events.
Bengaluru Police have also presented a different take. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), D Devaraj, told ANI that the confrontation stemmed from a road rage incident, not any targeted abuse. “The argument started when the biker came from the opposite direction while Madhumita Das was driving. Both sides could have avoided the fight,” he said.

New Delhi (PTI): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Wednesday said Operation Sindoor was the beginning of justice for the Pahalgam terror strike victims.
Retaliating against the Pahalgam terror attack, Indian armed forces early Wednesday carried out missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke.
"Beginning of justicefor the victims of PahalgamBehining --'Operation Sindoor', Justice served. Nation supports," RSS national media and publicity department head Sunil Ambekar said in a post in X.
"Jai Hind. Long live mother India," he added.
The military strikes were conducted under Operation Sindoor two weeks after the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians.
The nine targets struck under 'Operation Sindoor', four in Pakistan and five in Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir, were chosen by the IAF after receiving intelligence inputs about terror camps operating under the guise of health centres to evade detection at these sites, officials said on Wednesday.
