Bengaluru: Kannada and Culture Department Minister Shivraj Thangadagi announced that Rs 100 crore has been earmarked for the All India Kannada Literary Conference to be held in Mandya. A proposal has already been submitted to release Rs 30 crore for the event.
Minister Thangadagi addressed the assembly during the question hour of the assembly session.

Responding to Congress member Ravikumar Ganiga, he stated that the grant release for the conference, scheduled for December 20 and 21, is currently under review. A grant for the conference has been included in the action plan for the year 2024-25.
