Whoever messes with me, gets BP, diabetic issues: Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa
Bengaluru: Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj of Karnataka, KS Eshwarappa on Wednesday took a swipe at the opposition leaders stating that those who dare to mess with him, get diagnosed with Blood Pressure and Diabetic issues.
Speaking to media reporters on Wednesday the minister also replied to Congress leader BK Hariprasad’s comments on him where he had said Eshwarappa belonged to Nagpur University, taking a jibe at his RSS roots.
“Hariprasad said I belong to Nagpur University. Yes, that is why I have good manners and culture. People of Shivmoga elected me for five terms. People from ‘Italy University’ who say public toilets should be named after PM Modi, what culture and manners do they have?” he questioned.
Speaking about the abusive words that he used against Congress leaders in the state, Eshwarappa said he was anguished because the Congress leaders were speaking ill about PM Modi and as a reaction he abused them.

“I immediately withdrew my statement. If they want to still use it for political gains, then I can’t do anything.” he further said.
“Siddaramaiah can only dream about this government collapsing. He can only dream about it. Congress will not come to power in this life again” he added.
On being asked if Congress leaders were playing dirty politics, he said “Do I have to say it? Is that even a question? I don’t have BP or diabetic issues but whoever messes with me, gets it” he said.

Sameer Ahmed elected President of SKMWA Muscat for 2026–2027
Muscat: Sameer Ahmed, a native of Udupi and currently employed in a private company in Muscat, has been elected President of the South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA), Muscat, for the 2026–2027 term.
The election was conducted during the association’s Annual General Body Meeting held at Al Reef Hotel, Muscat, in the presence of chief guests Adil Shaikh, Monabba, Shareef, and Sahebzada Mehmood.
The newly elected office bearers include Vice Presidents Mohd Arif (Udupi) and Niyaz Mohammed (Mangalore), General Secretary Jaseem Basha (Kundapura), Joint Secretaries Rizwan Ali (Udupi) and Zaheer Hussain (Moodbidri), Treasurer Tajuddin Sheikh (Tonse), Assistant Treasurer Irfan Ahmed (Udyavara), Finance Secretary Mohammed Asif Gafur (Karkala), Assistant Finance Secretary Mohammed Akif Gafoor (Karkala), and Auditor Ashraf Ali (Kaup).
The Core Committee includes Event Coordinators Ansar Katipalla and Adil Moodbidri, and Sports Coordinators Ashpak Basrur and Muneer Ahmed (Sastan).
The programme commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Zaid Asif. The Annual Activity Report for 2025 was presented by Sameer Ahmed, while the financial report was delivered by Mohammed Asif Gafoor and verified by Auditor Ashraf Ali.
Former president Azim was felicitated by Syed Mohiddin Saheb during the event.
The meeting concluded with an address by the newly elected president, followed by a vote of thanks proposed by General Secretary Jaseem Basha. The programme was coordinated by Syed Mohiddin Saheb (Sastan) and Ansar Katipalla.
