Bengaluru: A 10-year-old student from Bengaluru has earned a place in the India Book of Records for authoring a book at a young age, showcasing exceptional creativity and talent.

According to a report published by The New Indian Express on Thursday, Parinita B, a Class 4 student at NET Public School in Basavanagudi, has authored a book titled Tales by Pari, which has been published by Subbu Publications. With this achievement, she has been recognised as one of the youngest authors in the country.

Her father, K Balaji, is a deputy general manager in BESCOM, and her mother, Dr Anusha R Gupta, is a dentist. “We used to recite songs and children’s stories to Parinita, and that’s when she decided to write a story of her own. When she was eight years old, she started learning the meaning of different words and told us that she would write a book. I had told her to write at least 30 pages if it had to be published as a book of stories.” TNIE quoted Balaji as saying.

He added, “She put all her efforts after school and started writing a book when she was 9 years old. However, when she completed writing it, we faced challenges in finding a publisher. Finally, Subbu Publications in Hubballi decided to publish the book. Parinita sat with the editor as well as the illustrator to explain the kind of pictures required.

However, the family initially faced difficulties finding a publisher. Eventually, Subbu Publications in Hubballi agreed to publish the book. Parinita was actively involved in the publication process and worked closely with the editor and illustrator.

“All the illustrations in the book are original and created by Parinita herself. We did not use images from the internet,” her father said, adding that the book has received positive feedback from children and parents alike.
