The 39th and 40th annual graduation day ceremony of the Gulbarga University was held at the BR Ambedkar Auditorium of the University campus here on Wednesday. The event was chaired by Karnataka governor Thawar Chand Gehlot.

Vijayapura: Amid fresh COVID-19 concerns in different parts of the country and apprehensions of a possible fourth wave of the pandemic, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday indicated that precautionary and surveillance measures may be reintroduces at airports and border districts of the state, depending on the Centre's advisory.

Bengaluru: Experts have predicted that the COVID-19 fourth wave may peak after June and have its effects till October, Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar said on Tuesday as he stressed on learning to live with the virus by taking precautionary measures like vaccination and wearing masks.

Concerning the controversy around allegations that Bible is being made compulsory at the Clarence High School in the city, the Minister for Primary and Secondary Education B. C Nagesh said, “I have directed for a notice to be issued against the school”, he informed.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Government on Monday issued fresh COVID guidelines to be followed mandatorily in the state including the wearing of masks. The move comes in the wake of the surge in COVID cases in the state and in other parts of the country.
