Fire and SDRF personnel to undertake rescue operations in flood hit Districts in Karnataka

Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services has deployed more than  200 personnel, boats to undertake rescue operations in the flood areas in Belagavi, Bagalkot, Raichur and Yadgiri Districts in the State and as many as 50 members of the State Disaster Response Force from the Belagavi and Kalaburagi  Region besides boats and water tenders.

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Monday conducted aerial inspection of flood-hit districts of North Karnataka, where several villages were inundated following increased outflow from reservoirs across the Krishna and its tributaries in Maharashtra.
