An unusual incident was reported from Bommalapura village in Gundlupet taluk, where angry villagers locked forest officials inside an iron cage that had been set up to trap a tiger. 

 Four members of a family died, allegedly by suicide, after jumping into the left bank canal of Karanja near Bhalki Taluk on Tuesday, police said.
