Vidwat assault case: Court extends Nalapad’s judicial custody

The first ACMM court has extended the judicial custody of Mohmmed Nalapad, son of MLA NA Harris, arrested on charges of assaulting Vidwat, till May 25.  The judicial custody of Nalapad and other accused is supposed to end on May 11. But the judge who heard the arguments through video conference, announced the verdict

"Since the Model Code of Conduct came into force on March 27 after the Election Commission announced the May 12 assembly election, the department has seized Rs 31.5 crore unaccounted cash and Rs 5.83-crore worth jewellery," said Income Tax Joint Commissioner G. Ramesh in a statement here.
