A complaint of medical negligence has been filed against a doctor after the death of a new mother at the Mother and Child Department of a district hospital in Kalaburagi in Karnataka, marking another tragic case in the rising number of maternal fatalities in the state.

Belagavi: The Karnataka Groundwater (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) (Amendment) Bill-2024, which had earlier received approval in the Legislative Assembly, was passed in the Legislative Council on Tuesday.
