Madikeri: A bank manager reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside the bank premises, at Kakkabe near Napoklu in Kodagu on Wednesday evening.

 


Karnataka PSI exam postponed second time in one day; New date to be announced soon

Bengaluru: The Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) recruitment exam, scheduled for September 28, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict with the UPSC examination on the same date. Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar made the announcement on Thursday through an official press release, stating that a new exam date will be finalized and communicated in the coming days.

Chamarajanagar: The Chamarajanagar Town Police have arrested a 43-year-old woman from Tamil Nadu, identified as Lakshmi, in connection with a jewelry theft case. The police have recovered 432 grams of gold jewelry, valued at Rs 27 lakh, from her possession. The arrest was made under the supervision of Dr. B.T. Kavitha, Superintendent of Police (SP), Chamarajanagar.
