Brake failure of journalist's vehicle en route to CM's event: 7 injured

An accident occurred on Friday involving a vehicle carrying journalists to the inauguration of the first phase of the Yettinahole project, one of the state government's flagship initiatives. The incident took place near Ballupet in Sakaleshpur taluk, Hassan district, when the vehicle's brakes failed, leading it to collide with a moving lorry.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the first phase of theYettinahole Integrated Drinking Water Project on Thursday at the pump house in Bikere Doddanagar, Sakaleshpur taluk. The project, which aims to provide drinking water to 29 taluks across Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Tumakuru, Hassan, and Chikkamagaluru districts, is expected to significantly improve the lives of residents in these areas.

District administration announces compensation for deceased children’s families

Raichur: In a tragic accident in the district on Thursday, two school children died and several others were injured in a collision between Kalyan Karnataka Road Transport Corporation bus and a school bus. Raichur Deputy Commissioner K. Nitish has announced that the state Transport Department has issued a compensation of Rs. 5 Lakh each for the grieved families of the deceased children.
