Headmaster of govt school in Chitradurga suspended on charge of splashing acid on girl student

The headmaster of the Government Higher Primary School, Jodichikkenahalli, in Chitradurga taluk has been suspended by the Deputy Director of the Department of Public Instruction (DDPI), following an incident of acid splash on a girl from Class 2 in the school.

Tiger claw case: Actor Jaggesh moves to High Court against forest officials

Bengaluru: A day after BJP Rajya Sabha member and Sandalwood actor Jaggesh surrendered his golden tiger claw locket to the forest officials, the former has moved to the high court on Thursday, questioning the operation of the department, which according to him searched his residence premises in the case of him wearing a tiger claw locket. The actor's plea is yet to be heard.
