Shivamogga SP asks people not to spread rumours on stone-pelting incident

District Superintendent of Police Mithun Kumar has asked the people not to spread fake news and false information about the stone-pelting incident that occurred in Ragigudda during the Eid Milad procession on Sunday, clarifying that the police officers are investigating the case.

60 arrested, 24 cases registered: Shivamogga SP reassures public, says situation under control

In the wake of a recent stone pelting incident in Ragigudda, Shivamogga, District Superintendent of Police Mithun Kumar announced that 60 individuals have been arrested, and 24 cases have been registered in connection with the violence. Kumar issued a media release detailing the aftermath of the incident.

Karnataka High Court rules loan repayment demand not abetment to suicide

In a recent judgment, the Karnataka High Court has ruled that insisting an individual repay a borrowed loan does not constitute abetment to commit suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Justice Shivashankar Amarannavar clarified that mere harassment or demands for loan repayment, lacking the intent to drive the person to suicide, do not qualify as abetment.
