ISRO's first human spaceflight programme receives major boost with Chandrayaan-3 success

The historic launch of India's third Moon mission, Chandrayaan-3 on-board LVM3-M4 rocket has given a major fillip to the country's first human spaceflight programme as the same launch vehicle with 'human rated' capability, would be used for the ambitious Gaganyaan mission.

India achieved a significant milestone in space exploration as it successfully launched its third mission to the moon, Chandrayaan 3, using its largest rocket, the Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM3). The historic launch took place at 2:35 pm on Friday, July 14, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
