After Priyanka, Deepika gets 25 mn Instagram followers
Mumbai, July 6 : After Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, it is actress Deepika Padukone whose Instagram family has grown to 25 million.
Deepika had a fan following of 24.9 Instagram followers on Thursday. On Friday, she took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a boomerang video of herself showering flying kisses.
"25 million", she captioned the video.
With this, Deepika, like Priyanka, is currently ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and megastar Amitabh Bachchan on the photo-sharing platform.
Modi has 13.5 million followers while Big B has a score of 9.5 million. The "Piku" star is also ahead of Virat Kohli (22.7 million), Shah Rukh Khan (13.3 million), Salman Khan (17.3 million), Aamir Khan (1.2 million) and Ranveer Singh (13.3 million).
Deepika rose to fame with superstar Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Om Shanti Om". After that, she featured in films like "Cocktail", "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", "Piku", "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela", "Happy New Year", "Bajirao Mastani" and "Padmaavat".
She also tried her hands in Hollywood by starring alongside Vin Diesel in the movie "xXx: Return of Xander Cage".

CM Siddaramaiah labels Kumaraswamy 'Manuvadi" over Bhagavad Gita curriculum push
Bengaluru (PTI): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday took a swipe at Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy, by calling him a "Manuvadi" after his alliance with the BJP, for seeking the inclusion of Bhagavad Gita in curriculum for students.
The CM's dig came in response to Kumaraswamy's recent letter to Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, requesting the inclusion of the Bhagavad Gita in the curriculum of students.
"After Kumaraswamy joined hands with the BJP for elections, he has become a Manuvadi," Siddaramaiah told reporters here after paying tributes to B R Ambedkar on his 69th death anniversary here.

Remembering Ambedkar, Siddaramaiah highlighted his contribution to the Constitution and his relentless fight to provide social justice.
The CM noted said fed up with social and caste system in Hinduism, and unable to reform it, Ambedkar accepted Buddhism.
He said, "Ambedkar, towards the end of his life, quit Hinduism and joined Buddhism. He was born in Hinduism, but cannot die in Hinduism, because he could not reform Hinduism, despite several efforts, so he accepted Buddhism."
