Prayagraj: American travel vlogger Drew Binsky missed the Mahakumbh Mela after being stranded in traffic for 19 hours. Despite months of planning, he could not reach the event, one of the largest human gatherings, held in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj.

Binsky shared his experience on social media, calling it one of the most frustrating moments of his travels. He detailed how roadblocks, checkpoints, and thick smog prevented him from getting closer than 21 km to the city. Considering walking the remaining distance in the cold, he ultimately decided against it and spent the night in his car with his driver.

“This is the first time I failed to shoot a story,” he wrote, expressing disappointment as the next Mahakumbh will take place 144 years later.

His post received mixed reactions from Indian users. While some sympathised, others criticised him for not anticipating the travel challenges associated with the event. Some pointed out that millions, including the elderly and children, managed to reach the venue, while others suggested better planning for future visits.

Binsky later stated he would be heading to Beirut for a break, concluding with, “India 1, Binsky 0.”

Bengaluru (PTI): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday took a swipe at Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy, by calling him a "Manuvadi" after his alliance with the BJP, for seeking the inclusion of Bhagavad Gita in curriculum for students.

The CM's dig came in response to Kumaraswamy's recent letter to Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, requesting the inclusion of the Bhagavad Gita in the curriculum of students.

"After Kumaraswamy joined hands with the BJP for elections, he has become a Manuvadi," Siddaramaiah told reporters here after paying tributes to B R Ambedkar on his 69th death anniversary here.

The CM noted said fed up with social and caste system in Hinduism, and unable to reform it, Ambedkar accepted Buddhism.

He said, "Ambedkar, towards the end of his life, quit Hinduism and joined Buddhism. He was born in Hinduism, but cannot die in Hinduism, because he could not reform Hinduism, despite several efforts, so he accepted Buddhism."
