'X' back again after long outage globally; users' tweets were not visible on website, apps
New Delhi (PTI): Social media platform X suffered an outage for over one hour on Thursday, as users complained about the non-accessibility of posts on the platform.
The services were back and posts became visible after some time, but some users were unable to see several of their posts in the recent past on the platform, formerly known as Twitter.
According to Downdetector, the complaints started surfacing around quarter to 11 am IST with over 4,000 users reporting about the glitch. Globally, 73,800 problem reports poured in on the outage.
Around 64 percent of the users reported about the glitch on the X app and 29 percent on the website, according to Downdetector.
The app displayed a 'welcome to your timeline' message in place of the feed. There is no official word yet from the company about the snag.
The problem was recorded across various geographies, and not confined to India.
"Havin issues with my Twitter timeline this morning!! It seems stuck at last night and won let me refresh. Seems to want me to 'get started' by using contacts in my address book!," a post from an account by name of Asha Hick appeared on Downdetector.
Downdetector sources various complaints made online over outages of social media platforms or digital networks.

Four killed, 15 injured in explosion at power plant in Chhattisgarh
Sakti (Chhattisgarh), Apr 14 (PTI): Four workers were killed and 15 others injured in an explosion at a power plant in Chhattisgarh's Sakti district on Tuesday, police said, adding that some workers are feared trapped at the site.
According to preliminary information, the blast occurred in a boiler tube at the Vedanta Limited power plant in Singhitarai village in the afternoon, a senior police officer said.
"Four workers have died, and 15 others sustained injuries," said Prafull Thakur, Superintendent of Police, Sakti district.
Soon after receiving information, local administration and police teams rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations.
The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, while rescue efforts are underway amid fears that some workers may still be trapped at the site, the officer added.
