New Delhi, April 27: In the 26th match of Vivo Indian Premier League (IPL 2018), Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and let the hosts Delhi Daredevils to bat first at Ferozshah Kotla ground in New Delhi. Delhi Daredevils came to bat with Gambhir missing the game, Shreyas Iyer had a big responsibility and rest of the team did not let him down as Delhi put a massive score of 219/4.
Prithvi Shaw gave a fantastic start to Delhi and completed his half-century. Shreyas Iyer was alongside building his inning and played a great knock, scoring 93 runs including 10 sixes.
Batting Second, KKR suffered early losses and could not find a stable partnership barring Andre Russell and Shubham Gill's brief knock. Delhi bowlers had a good day and they made the most of it. The run rate was jumping up and KKR could not do anything to bridge the gap. DD won the match by 60 runs and moved to seventh spot of the Vivo IPL points table.
Delhi Daredevils posted a total of 219-4, thanks to Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer innings. Kolkata Knight Riders batsmen could not face the pressure of the huge total and ended innings at 164-9

Raichur: A truck driver sustained serious injuries and died in a road accident in the taluk on Tuesday after his vehicle collided with a stationary truck near Mannikeri Camp on the outskirts of Javalagera.
The deceased driver, Amaresh Basavaraj, was travelling from Hospet to Raichur. Reportedly, he was driving at high speed and rammed into a parked truck carrying timber from Chikkamagaluru to Raichur.
Amaresh suffered severe head injuries, resulting in heavy bleeding, along with injuries to his stomach and knees. He was being taken to Sindhanur Taluk Hospital but reportedly died on the way near the Javalagera bus stand. The front of the truck he was driving was heavily damaged in the collision.
A case has been registered at Balagavoor Police Station, and Sub-Inspector Yariyappa Angadi is investigating the case.
