Karnataka wins Vijay Hazare trophy; beats Tamil Nadu in final
Bengaluru: Karnataka team on Friday won its fourth Vijay Hazare Trophy after defeating Tamil Nadu in the final match at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.
Hampered by the rain, Karnataka won the match by VJD method.
Batting first Tamil Nadu had set Karnataka a target of 252 runs, in the second innings Karnataka were batting on 146-1 in 23 overs with two of its premier batsmen KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal batting with well set scores of 52* and 69* respectively, when rain interrupted play. Karnataka were later declared winners by VJD method.

Belthangady: Khazi Shaikhuna Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar of Dakshina Kannada District handed over the keys of a renovated house to the family of the late Ramalan Azhari during a program organized by the Dakshina Kannada District Janiyyatul Muallimin on Thursday at Kajur Perdadi Ajmer Khaja Juma Masjid.
The event was presided over by District Janiyyatul Muallimeen President Shansuddin Darimi Pammale Madannur, with Secretary Muhammad Navi Mundole welcoming the attendees. Engineer Muhammad Twahir Bangerakatte was honored on the occasion for his commendable efforts in renovating the house.
