The Former England Cricketer, Kevin Pietersen has vocalized his commendation for Qatar following the Middle Eastern country’s successful hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and suggested that going forward maybe every football tournament should be held in the Middle East.
The cricketer took to his official Twitter account and said, A football tournament without hooligans. And being at last years Wembley disgrace & now in Qatar, Qatar is the standout!
Maybe EVERY football tournament can be in the Middle East so our fan experience can be memorable!” he expressed.
In a tweet he made earlier in the month, Kevin Pietersen had called the Middle Eastern countries such as Qatar, Saudi, and Dubai as ‘the place to be’ and posted, “Qatar, Saudi & Dubai in a few days. The Middle East is thriving. Economically stable and growing fast, safe & secure, education A Grade & sun shines where everyone is smiling. I can see why so many people have moved and are considering leaving Europe to live here! #ThePlaceToBe”, he tweeted.
