Rajkot: Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will rejoin the team for Day 4 of the ongoing Test match against England in the city, with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirming the news on Sunday.

Ashwin had withdrawn from the third Test match on Friday, after the conclusion of the day's game, and left for Chennai, on account of a family emergency, with his mother falling ill.

In a press release, the BCCI has said, "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleased to announce the return of R Ashwin to the squad after a brief absence due to a family emergency. Ashwin had to temporarily withdraw from the squad after Day 2 of the 3rd Test in Rajkot to attend to a family emergency.

Both R Ashwin and the team management are pleased to confirm that he will be back in action on Day 4 and will continue to contribute towards the team's cause in the ongoing Test match.

Latur (PTI): A man was arrested in Latur for allegedly murdering his elder brother, a police official said on Sunday.

The body of Gulab Vilas Kharose (34) was found on the bund of a field in Nilanga tehsil on February 18, following which a murder case was registered as it bore strangulation marks, the Kasarsirsi police station official said.

The probe zeroed in on the victim's younger brother Ulhas Kharose (32), he added.

"The two brothers had frequent quarrels over land and family matters. Ulhas attacked and killed his elder brother on the evening of February 17. Ulhas has been remanded in police custody till February 24," the official said.
