UP Warriorz thrash Gujarat Giants by six wickets in WPL
Bengaluru, Mar 1: Uttar Pradesh Warriorz earned their second victory of this WPL season, defeating Gujarat Giants by six wickets here on Friday.
Chasing 143, Australia's Grace Harris (60 not out; 33 balls), played some big and entertaining shots as the target was achieved in 15.4 overs.
The 30-year-old right-hander hit nine boundaries and two huge sixes, and shared an unbeaten 53-run partnership with Deepti Sharma (17 not out).
Gujarat Giants batters struggled to get going against spinners on a slow surface, with Phoebe Litchfield (35) emerging their highest scorer. Sophie Ecclestone took three wickets for 20 runs.

Uttarakhand: Bus falls into gorge in Almora; 6-7 feared dead
Dehradun (PTI): At least six to seven people are feared dead after a bus fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand’s Almora district on Tuesday, officials said.
The accident occurred in the Bhikiyasain area when the bus was en route to Ramnagar in Nainital, officials from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) said.
They said the bus fell into a gorge near Vinayak with around 17-18 passengers on board. Six to seven are feared dead on the spot, the officials added.
According to the SDRF, the injured are being rescued from the gorge and admitted to the government hospital in Bhikiyasain for treatment.
