Donald Trump thanks Elon Musk for 'helping us win' the election, calls him a high IQ person
Washington: In a recent comment, Donald Trump expressed gratitude to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, thanking him for his role in helping him win the U.S. presidential election.
Trump shared his appreciation in response to a meme on social media, praising Musk as a "great guy" with "personality and brainpower" and highlighting his influential endorsement. He described Musk as a "high IQ person," adding that his support meant a great deal to him.
“Thank you Elon for the great job you did in helping us win the most consequential election in 129 years, especially your hard work in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It will never be forgotten,” he wrote.
The screenshot of the comment was shared by Bo Loudon, a friend of Trump’s son Barron, on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Meanwhile, the president-elect recently announced that Musk will be leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with Vivek Ramaswamy.

Karnataka: Two killed as unknown vehicle hits people standing on roadside
Chitradurga (Karnataka) (PTI): Two persons were killed and an equal number of them were seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident near Pattarehalli village in Chitradurga district, police said on Sunday.
The accident occurred on late Saturday.
An unidentified vehicle crashed into four persons who were standing by the roadside after their car broke down.
"Four persons had stopped their vehicle due to a breakdown and were repairing when an unidentified vehicle crashed into them," a police officer said.
According to police, two persons died on the spot, while the other two sustained grievous injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
"The driver fled the scene along with the vehicle immediately after the accident," the officer added.
A case has been registered at the Hiriyur Rural Police Station and efforts are on to trace the vehicle and its driver.
