New Delhi: Following a high-profile interview with former U.S. President Donald Trump on X, tech billionaire Elon Musk has extended an invitation to Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris for a discussion on the same platform. Musk took to X, formerly Twitter, to express his willingness to host Harris on X Spaces.
The interview with Trump, which aired after a 40-minute delay due to technical issues, garnered 73 million views. Despite the glitches, Musk reaffirmed his endorsement of Trump and attributed the issues to a cyber-attack. The conversation, described by Musk as "unscripted with no limits," touched on various topics, including immigration and inflation. Trump also took the opportunity to criticise Harris, labeling her a "believer in the radical left" and accusing her of avoiding interviews since launching her presidential campaign. "She hasn't done an interview since this whole scam started, and say what you want, this was a coup. This was a coup of a president of the United States," Trump said.
Harris's campaign responded by dismissing the interview, with her spokesperson, Joseph Costello, calling Trump and Musk "self-obsessed rich guys" who are out of touch with the middle class.
The interview marked Trump's return to X after being banned from the platform following the January 6 Capitol riots. His account was reinstated by Musk, who acquired the platform last year.
