In response to the recent escalation of violence in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, prominent figures from various fields continue to express their support for the Palestinian cause. Among them is former German professional footballer Mesut Ozil, known for his advocacy on social and humanitarian issues.

Taking to his social media account, Ozil, a vocal supporter of 'Free Palestine' for a significant period, condemned the recent attacks on innocent civilians, especially children, in the conflict-stricken region.

Amidst the ongoing turmoil, Ozil shared his anguish over the continuous bombardment, emphasizing the tragic loss of life and calling for an end to the conflict.

“Can there be any reason in this world to drop bombs every day, every hour on innocent human beings and especially on young children to kill them!? Definitely nooot!!! This is such a nightmare - Where is humanity, people? 💔🇵🇸 #FreePalestine” he wrote on his X account on Tuesday after Israel’s raid on Gaza hospital killed at least 500 people including children

On October 13, he posted a heartfelt message, stating, “Praying for humanity. 🤲🏼 Praying for peace. 🤲🏼🇵🇸 Innocent people and especially innocent kids are losing their lives in the war - on both sides. It's so heartbreaking & sad. 😥💔 PLEASE STOP THE WAR!!! ❌❌❌”

Bengaluru: Karnataka's Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao has demanded the expulsion of BJP MLA Muniratna from the party, urging the BJP to demonstrate its commitment to justice and fairness to the people of Karnataka.

Taking to micro blogging platform, X on Tuesday, Gundurao remarked, “BJP MLA Muniratna’s casteist comments against the Vokkaliga community have been confirmed by the FSL report submitted to the SIT. He not only demeaned the Vokkaliga community but also made derogatory remarks about the women of the community.”

He further alleged, “It has been established that Muniratna is not only a casteist but also a misogynist. Despite this, the BJP continues to support him, proving yet again its anti-women stance. The BJP’s backing of Muniratna exposes its hypocrisy in claiming ‘Hindus are one.’”

Gundurao also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan, "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao," calling it "ridiculous" in light of the BJP’s alleged support for individuals accused of mistreating women. He urged the BJP to take action and protect the dignity of women and vulnerable communities in the state.
