Monkeypox: WHO reports 780 laboratory confirmed cases from 27 countries

United Nations/Geneva: A total of 780 laboratory-confirmed cases of monkeypox have been reported or identified since May 13 and as of June 2 from 27 countries across four WHO regions that are not endemic for the monkeypox virus, the World Health Organisation has said.

 


35 killed in fire at Bangladesh chemical container depot

At least 35 people were killed and over 450 injured in a massive fire caused by an explosion that swept through a private chemical container depot in southeastern Bangladesh, officials said on Sunday.
