Guterres 'saddened' by Kerala flood toll; UN monitoring situation

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is saddened by the loss of lives and the destruction due to the Kerala floods and the world organisation is following the situation very closely, according to his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric.


UAE condoles Vajpayee's death

 The United Arab Emirates on Friday condoled the death of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

According to the official WAM news agency, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a message of condolence to his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind.
