Amruta Fadnavis bribe FIR: Bookie Anil Jaisinghani held from Gujarat
Mumbai (PTI): Mumbai Police on Monday nabbed suspected bookie Anil Jaisinghani from Gujarat, days after his daughter Aniksha Jaisinghani was arrested for allegedly trying to blackmail and bribe the wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, an official said.
A crime branch official confirmed that Anil Jaisinghani, who has 14 to 15 cases pending against him, was nabbed from Gujarat but refused to divulge details.
Mumbai Police had on March 16 arrested Aniksha Anil Jaisinghani, a designer, after Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amruta accused her of offering a bribe for intervening in a criminal case and also threatening her.

Gangster Arzoo Bishnoi's aide held: Punjab Police

Chandigarh (PTI): Punjab Police on Saturday said they have arrested an associate of gangster Arzoo Bishnoi.
The accused, whose identity has not yet been disclosed by police, was wanted in a murder case in Rajasthan and carried a bounty on his arrest.
In an X post, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said, "In a major breakthrough, Anti-Gangster Task Force Punjab apprehends an associate of gangster Arzoo Bishnoi (Lawrence gang) linked to an inter-state criminal network, and recovers one .32 bore pistol with 3 live cartridges."
Yadav said an investigation is underway to establish the forward and backward linkages in the case.
