Ashok Gehlot undergoes surgery in Mumbai, PM wishes him good health
Mumbai : Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has undergone a surgery for hernia at a hospital in Mumbai. Gehlot, 67, who was operated upon on Sunday, appealed to people to keep a RPT keep a tab of their health issues and get timely treatment for it.
"I have been successfully operated for hernia here in Mumbai due to timely detection," Gehlot said in a tweet.
He stressed that being aware and vigilant was the key to all curable diseases, including swine flu, which, he said, was 100 per cent curable.
The disease claimed more than 70 lives in Rajasthan recently.
"I appeal to all the people to be aware of their health and get timely treatment," he urged. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished good health to the senior Congress leader.
"Happy to know about the successful operation. Best wishes for your good health Ashok Ji," Modi said in a tweet.

Two held at Bengaluru airport with hydroponic ganja worth Rs 5.79 cr
Bengaluru (PTI): Two people were arrested at the Kempegowda International Airport here for attempting to smuggle hydroponic ganja valued at Rs 5.79 crore, upon their arrival from Bangkok on Wednesday, officials said
They seized 16.54 kg of hydroponic ganja, which was concealed in the checked-in baggage, the Bengaluru Customs said in a post on 'X'.
Both the accused were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, it said.
Meanwhile, the Customs officials at the Bengaluru Airport also disposed of 287.5 kg of Ganja (Hydroponic Weed) and 1.17 kg of Cocaine seized under the NDPS Act, 1985, in accordance with CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs) Disposal Manual on March 17, it said in another post.
