New Delhi: A video featuring animal rights activist, and environmentalist, and BJP MP Maneka Gandhi has gone viral on social media platforms, where she can be heard making critical remarks about ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness), also known as the Hare Krishna movement. In the video, Maneka Gandhi accuses ISKCON of being the "biggest cheater" in India.
Maneka Gandhi's statement in the video is as follows: "The biggest cheater today in India is ISKCON. They establish Gaushalas for which they get unlimited benefits from the government to run the Gaushalas. They get huge lands and everything. I just visited their Anantpur Gaushala. Not even one single dry cow is there. All are dairies. Not a single calf is there.
“It means all of them were sold. ISKCON is selling all its cows to the butchers. No one else does as much as they do. And they go on roads and does Hare Ram and Hare Krishna. And they say their entire life is dependent on Milk. Probably no one else has sold as many cattle to the butchers as they have. If these people can do it, what others will do?" she adds in the video.
ISKCON, is known international religious organization. It was founded in 1966 in New York City by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and has followers around the world.
The video was shared by National Campaign In-charge of RLD Party from his X (formerly known as Twitter) account on Tuesday evening. The video has sparked controversy and discussions on social media platforms, with various reactions and responses from different quarters.
कोई इनका प्रभुपाद है उसने तो… pic.twitter.com/tgrZx0VYi0
