Chandigarh (PTI): The Border Security Force shot down a drone that entered from Pakistan in Amritsar district, officials said on Saturday.
The troops fired at the drone after they noticed it sneaking into the Indian territory near Daoke village, 34 km southwest of Amritsar city, on Friday evening, the BSF said.
During the search operation, the BSF recovered a Quadcopter DJI Matrice 300 RTK (Chinese drone) in a partially-damaged condition, according to officials.
A quadcopter is an unmanned aerial vehicle with four rotors.

New Delhi: The Sports Ministry has announced that Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker and chess world champion D Gukesh are among the four athletes selected to receive the prestigious Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.
The other recipients include men's hockey captain Harmanpreet Singh and Paralympic gold medallist Praveen Kumar.
Additionally, the Ministry has named 32 athletes, including 17 para-athletes, for the Arjuna Awards.
