Bengaluru: Hours after India’s Chandrayaan 3 mission successfully landed on the lunar south pole, creating a major milestone the Pragyan rover was rolled out of the lander Vikram and is slowly stepping into the moon's surface. The videos of the same are surfacing on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

India's lunar rover, named Pragyan—meaning "wisdom" in Sanskrit—has been designed for a groundbreaking lunar exploration mission. This mission encompasses two significant experiments focused on analyzing the elemental and chemical composition of the moon's surface. The rover weighing 26 kilograms can work only one lunar day which is equivalent to 14 days on the earth.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, the rover using its rear wheels will also imprint the logos of ISRO and the national emblem, depicting the Lion Capital of Ashoka at Sarnath, on the lunar surface.
