New Delhi: Delhi Police on Wednesday said that the man who allegedly snatched the gold chain of Congress MP R Sudha recently has been arrested and the chain recovered from him.

In a post on ‘X’ on Wednesday, the police said, “The case of snatching of chain of Hon'ble Member of Parliament has been solved. The accused has been arrested and the chain has been recovered.”

The MP’s chain was snatched on Monday, when Sudha was on her morning walk with Salma, who was recently sworn in as MP, near the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Chanakyapuri. A man on a scooter and wearing a helmet reportedly drove close to the pavement and, tugging the MP’s chain from her neck, escaped from the spot.

The MP had told reporters that neither passersby nor the police officers on patrol responded positively to their requests for help. She added that the police officers had noted their names and phone numbers and told them to file a complaint at a nearby police station.
