New Delhi: Sudarshan News - Editor-in-chief, Suresh Chanvhanke on Friday, in a tweet hinted that despite the Twitter outrage, the channel will go on-air with his show ‘Bindas Bol’ on Friday which is scheduled to broadcast a controversial topic “UPSC Jihad”.
Chavhanke added that trending of hashtag #सुरेश_चव्हाणके_आगे_बढ़ो (backing Suresh Chavhanke to continue with the show) had made it evident that the people who backed him to go ahead with the show were more than those who protested against it.
In the tweet, he also added that even the protesters, who he termed as ‘traitors’ have also seen that they were outnumbered by those who supported him.
In another tweet, Chavhanke also questioned the IPS Association which slammed the promotional video of Chavhanke’s show on ‘UPSC Jihad’ as “Communal and irresponsible piece of journalism”.
Chavhanke shared an old video of Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi wherein he was talking to media and was demanding that the government should share the stats of Muslim recruitment in services CISF, IPS, and others. Chavhanke, while sharing the video asked IPS Association if it had tweeted and cleared its stand on Owaisi’s interview. “If not, then why did they only tweeted about my video” he questioned.
He concluded the tweet by sharing the timing of his show and topic with hashtag #UPSC_Jihad.
Earlier, a promotional video of his show that would discuss Muslim community hijacking IPS, IAS and other top administrative posts, wherein he had termed it as ‘UPSC Jihad’ by the community, had taken the micro-blogging site by storm with many, including IAS, IPS officers, and activists calling for the suspension of Chavhanke’s account and his news channel ‘Sudarshan News’. IPS Association, Indian Police Foundation were also among those, who condemned the work of Chavhanke.

Palakkad: An explosion at the Vyasa Vidya Peethom primary school in Vadakanthara, Palakkad, has triggered panic and a political controversy in Kerala. The blast occurred on Wednesday evening when a 10-year-old student unknowingly threw an object that turned out to be a country bomb. The child sustained minor injuries, while an elderly woman nearby was also slightly hurt.
Following the incident, police recovered four more similar explosives from the school premises. Preliminary information suggests that the devices may have been kept for trapping wild boars. However, the discovery has sparked sharp political reactions, as the school is managed by RSS workers.
The CPI(M) and Congress alleged that the explosives were linked to RSS activities and intended for creating unrest ahead of the elections. CPI(M) leaders claimed that RSS training camps were previously conducted at the school, while the DYFI demanded statewide raids on RSS shakhas to check for explosives. The BJP-RSS camp dismissed the charges and alleged a conspiracy behind the recovery.
The Palakkad North police have registered a case under the Explosive Substances Act, while district education authorities have initiated a separate inquiry into the matter.
