A screenshot claiming that former U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Truth Social has been found to be fake, reported The Current.
The viral screenshot suggested that Trump expressed frustration over Modi’s silence on the U.S. imposing 25% reciprocal tariffs on India. It quoted Trump saying things like, “We gave India so much… yet, TOTAL SILENCE,” and claimed he felt disrespected. The message also referred to Trump’s role in India-Pakistan relations and said the lack of response was “bad for business, bad for friendship.”
However, a fact-check by The Current found no such post on Trump’s official Truth Social account. They reviewed all 40 posts made in the past 24 hours and did not find any message directed at Modi. There were also no cached records to suggest the post was published and later deleted.
The fake screenshot appears to have come from an account called Wokeflix, which is known for creating false content and wrongly attributing statements to public figures.
In short, Trump did not publicly call out Prime Minister Modi over tweets, tariffs, or any related issues.
