Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said, "Sad that former Chief Election Commissioner TN Seshan has passed away in Chennai. He was my father's classmate at Victoria College Palakkad a courageous & crusty boss who asserted the ElectionCommission's autonomy & authority as no CEC before him had done. A pillar of our democracy."

Virat Kohli, on Wednesday, became the first Indian batsman to score 14,000 runs in T20 cricket, reaching this milestone in the IPL-26 in a match between RCB and KKR in Raipur.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru veteran, who was dismissed for nought in the previous two matches, came up with his domineering knocks roaring back with an unbeaten century. In the course to guide his team to victory, he became the sixth batsman – after Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Alex Hales, David Warner, and Jos Buttler – to cross the mark the milestone in the T20 format.
