Salem, Nov 26: Three people, who had arrived at a court complex here Monday for a hearing in a property dispute case, were attacked by an armed gang, the police said.

The gang attacked Suresh, Perumal and Chakravarthy with sickles, they said.

The assailants fled the scene after people in the complex raised an alarm, they said.

Checkposts have been alerted to catch the culprits, the police said, adding that the injured have been admitted to a government hospital.

Bengaluru (PTI): In view of the upcoming IPL matches in the city, the Bengaluru Traffic Police on Thursday issued an advisory on restrictions and elaborate arrangements made to ensure the smooth flow of vehicular movement.

The IPL matches are scheduled to be held on March 28 and April 5 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here, they said.

According to the advisory, parking has been prohibited on several key roads, including Queens Road, MG Road, Cubbon Road, St Mark’s Road, Museum Road, Kasturba Road, Lavelle Road, Vittal Mallya Road, and stretches within Cubbon Park, among others.

Designated parking facilities include St Joseph’s Indian High School Ground, St Joseph’s European School Ground, Freedom Park multi-level parking, Garuda Mall, Shivajinagar Bus Stand (first floor), and UB City parking space.

Entry to the stadium will be through multiple gates on Cubbon Road, Link Road, and Queens Road, while specific gates have been earmarked for exit and VIP movement, it said.

Pick-up points for app-based taxi services and autorickshaws have been designated at BRV Ground and Manekshaw Parade Ground, with drop-offs at Gate-6 and Gate-3.

Police have advised the public to make maximum use of public transport, such as Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses and Metro services.
