Lucknow: In a shocking development in the Kamlesh Tiwari murder case, Tiwari’s mother on Saturday accused BJP leader Shiv Kumar Gupta of her son’s murder. Meanwhile the body of Tiwari was taken to his ancestral house in Sitapur of late Friday night.

“It is Shiv Kumar Gupta, a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. Nobody asked me anything in Lucknow, all I was asked is what I want. To this I replied that I just want the dead body of my son. I will not spare anyone even if I get killed for it. I requested the police to call Gupta and question him but my request was not heeded to. Shiv Kumar Gupta lives in Thatheri and is a mafia who has over 500 cases against him. He had taken over as the president of local temple and killed my son over a dispute regarding construction of the structure.” Tiwari’s mother was quoted as saying by News18.com

Earlier on Friday, Tiwari’s wife had accused two ‘Maulanas’ from Bijnoor for the murder as they had announced bounty of Tiwari’s head for his alleged derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammed few years ago.

Both the ‘Maulanas’ Mohammed Mufti Naeem and Anwarul Haq have been booked by the police under Section 302 and 120B of IPC, News18.com quoted a police sources as saying.

The latest claims by Tiwari's mother are expected to add more twists to the investigation of the sensational murder case that has already created storms in the politcal circles across the country.

Dhanbad (Jharkhand) (PTI): At least four workers died after being buried under coal slurry in Jharkhand's Dhanbad district on Saturday, a police official said.

The incident took place at Moonidih coal washery in the command area of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL).

"Bodies of all four workers were dug out of debris during a rescue operation," Putki police station in-charge Waqar Hussain told PTI.

The incident took place when coal slurry was being loaded into trucks by workers, during which a large chunk of slurry fell and trapped several workers underneath, officials said.

The deceased have been identified as Manik Bauri, Dinesh Bauri, Deepak Bauri, and Hemlal Gope.

Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased and local villagers placed the bodies in front of the washery gate and began a protest.

They demanded compensation, jobs for dependents and action against those responsible for the incident.

Police and administration officials are trying to pacify the protesters, an official said.
